Rocky River Native Takes Macaron-Based Baking Origin Story to Netflix Contest

Jeff Bartolozzi will appear as a contestant in the baking series, "Is It Cake?"

Rocky River native, Jeff Bartolozzi, is one of 10 contestants who will appear in the upcoming Netflix baking series, "Is It Cake?" which debuts on June 30.

The show features 10 bakers who have won baking competitions at state or county fairs across the country. The bakers will compete in a series of challenges, each designed to test their skills and creativity. The winner will receive a $50,000 prize.

Bartolozzi, who now lives in Columbus and works as an attorney, is a self-taught baker who specializes in macarons. He started baking macarons in 2016 after his wife asked him to make them for a party. He quickly fell in love with the process and has since become known for his creative and delicious macarons.

Bartolozzi says he is excited to compete on "Is It Cake?" and to share his love of baking with the world. He hopes to inspire others to pursue their passions, no matter how unconventional they may seem.
