Mavs Acquire Daniel Gafford from Washington
Center Bolsters Dallas Frontcourt
The Dallas Mavericks have acquired center Daniel Gafford from the Washington Wizards in a trade, bolstering their frontcourt as the season nears its end.
Gafford's NBA Journey
Gafford, 25, was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2019. In his three seasons with Chicago, he averaged 6.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He was traded to Washington in March 2023.
Wizards' Commitment
In Washington, Gafford averaged 9.2 points and 6.6 rebounds in 26 games. The Wizards have committed to the young center by signing him to a contract extension through 2026.
